Whether it&#8217;s courses on climate change for Metro Vancouver, sustainability for The Co-operators, health equity for the National Collaborating Centre for Determinants of Health (say that five times fast!), or supporting sales teams with award-winning Customer Education materials at Eminence Organic Skin Care, I work with a sense of humour, an eye for budget, and a strong focus on overarching organizational goals and strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-custom-ink-charcoal-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-7 wp-block-paragraph\">I also developed and taught <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcit.ca\/courses\/using-ai-for-technical-writing-xcom-3110\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BCIT&#8217;s Using AI for Technical Writing course<\/a> \u2013 the first AI course built into their tech writing program \u2013 because I wanted to actually understand responsible AI adoption before coaching anyone else through it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-custom-deep-forest-green-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8\">why &#8216;outspan&#8217;? <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-custom-ink-charcoal-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9 wp-block-paragraph\">The name comes from my South African roots \u2013 outspan is an old word for unyoking the oxen, stopping the wagon, and letting everyone rest before moving on. I chose it because that&#8217;s exactly what good learning and development and grounded AI adoption should do: create the pause that lets people actually absorb something, build a real habit, or adopt a new way of working, rather than rushing straight from one initiative to the next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"strong-view strong-view-id-2 default wpmtst-default dark slider-container slider-mode-fade slider-adaptive controls-style-buttons nav-position-inside\" data-count=\"4\" data-slider-var=\"strong_slider_id_2\" data-state=\"idle\"><div class=\"strong-content wpmslider-content\"><div class=\"wpmtst-testimonial testimonial t-slide post-154\"><div class=\"wpmtst-testimonial-inner testimonial-inner\"><div data-infinite-loop=\"true\"   class=\"wpmtst-testimonial-content testimonial-content\"><div class=\"maybe-clear\"><\/div><p>&#8220;Geraldine is a proficient, talented, and detail-oriented writer and communications professional.
